Current Needs

In our Level III Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU), our devoted nurses are providing state-of-the-art care for some of the sickest and most critically ill newborns in California.

You can help care for these newborns.  We are currently hiring experienced nurses (2 years of  Level II or III NICU experience preferred).

Join a Diverse Staff

Our unit has nurses who have recently graduated from school, as well as nurses who are seasoned by 35 years or more of experience.  In addition, our staff is ethnically diverse, speaking many languages, and originating from many countries, reflecting our diverse patient population.

Every Day is a Learning Opportunity

We have multiple opportunities for clinical and professional development, including ECMO training.

We are actively involved and included by administrators and physicians in making care decisions and process changes on the unit.

This is a complex learning environment that will provide you with new opportunities and challenges in caring for the most acute neonates in Southern California.

We Care

We don’t just provide care for children.  We care about each other.  We frequently reach out to each other for personal and professional support.  Teamwork is a necessity in this intensive care environment and something you will encounter here on a daily basis.

An Experience Unlike Any Other

Everyone who comes here agrees –  our hospital offers an experience unlike any other!  Physicians and nurses are on a first name basis and have created a positive, supportive atmosphere of mutual respect and the highest professional standards.

Our hospital draws patients and nurses from around the region, the country and the world.  We are a Magnet Hospital with a powerful focus on education and training.   Here, in an environment of medical excellence supported by research, we treat the sickest, most seriously injured children as we advance the science of pediatric medicine.
