CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

  1. To update participants on current management of common pediatric trauma and pediatric critical care.
  2. To improve the understanding of differences between management in adult and pediatric trauma care
  3. To present the state-of-the-art evidence-based medicine/research for pediatric injuries and care.
  4. To demonstrate examples of how trauma and disease affects different ethnic populations.

Mr. Ortega has been an RN in the Emergency Department at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Centers since 1993.  He is an EMS Educator with the Los Angeles Fire Department and served in the US Navel Reserve as a hospital corpsman for over 7 years.
