Pulmonology Programs

Chronic Lung Disease of Infancy Program

This program provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for infants with a variety of chronic lung disorders, particularly bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and congenital disorders of the lung, diaphragm, airway and chest wall.

Program pulmonologists specialize in care that allows discharge of complex patients to home care and anticipatory care to minimize re-hospitalization.

Cystic Fibrosis Center

Our pulmonologists are leaders in innovative therapies and clinical research for cystic fibrosis. This center – the largest in the southwestern United States – is approved by the national Cystic Fibrosis FoundationCalifornia Children's Services and Genetically Handicapped Persons Program.

We also provide for the use of intravenous antibiotics at home after hospital discharge for cystic fibrosis patients. Treatment is maintained by patient and family, with the assistance of a team of trained nurses and pharmacists on an out-patient basis. Learn more.
