All meat, fish, fowl, eggs, peanut butter, cottage cheese, processed cheese

DESSERT

Unsweetened gelatin, pudding and custard, sweets only 3 times a week include: ice cream, angel food cake, plain cookies, plain donuts

Sweets more than 3 servings per week.  Cakes with icing, pastries, pie sweetened custards, puddings and gelatins.

BEVERAGE

Coffee, tea, artificially sweetened beverages

Regular carbonated beverages, prepared drink mixes with sugar added.

SEASONING/MISCELLANEOUS

Salt, pepper, spices, herbs, sour dill pickles, artificially sweetened jelly and syrup, sugar substitutes.

Sugar, candy, honey, jam, jelly, syrup, sweet pickles, relishes, ketchup, molasses, barbecue sauce, chewing gum, corn syrup, corn sweeteners, brown sugar, instant breakfast mixes, spaghetti sauce, tartar sauce, teriyaki sauce, tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce.  On labels, avoid foods that contain dextrose, fructose, modified food starch, natural sweeteners, and sucrose.
