Fellowship ProgramsThe Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine at Children's Hospital Los Angeles offers an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship and a Critical Care Fellowship. Trainees from around the United States, as well as worldwide, have participated in these highly selective programs. Pediatric Anesthesiology FellowshipThe Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship provides an excellent clinical experience in all the surgical specialties, including organ transplantation. The Division provides nearly 18,000 anesthetics annually, including 900-1000 cardiac cases. In addition, opportunities to participate in the administration of anesthesia outside the OR for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and to serve as a consultant for the Comfort and Pain Management Program are integral parts of the training. Fellows interested in clinical and/or basic research relating to the field of pediatric anesthesiology may spend time in that endeavor as well. |
