Meet Other Generous Hospital Supporters

The Lucky Brand Foundation, created by Lucky Brand Jeans founders Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman, is committed to bringing happiness, comfort and hope to disabled children by improving their quality of life and well-being through their donations.

This has certainly been the case with the Lucky Brand Foundation’s support of our hospital. The Foundation has supported different areas of Childrens Hospital, like the Division of Rheumatology, and has recently decided to philanthropically partner with our Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery.

But Lucky Brand doesn’t stop there…

Last December, Lucky Brand associates came to GIVE LOVE to patients and their families. Outfitted in matching Lucky GIVE LOVE T-shirts and armed with bags full of toys, the associates hosted a festive holiday party for plastic surgery and rheumatology outpatients. Along with giving toys, the Lucky associates participated in fun holiday arts and crafts with the patients and their siblings. After the party, Lucky associates spread holiday cheer and GAVE LOVE and gifts to the inpatients on the 6th Floor with the assistance of two Child Life specialists. The toys and activities not only brought smiles to the faces of the children, but also to the faces of the Lucky Brand associates.

In June, the newest Lucky store, Lucky Kid, hosted a special event at its location at The Americana at Brand for Childrens Hospital affiliates and loyal Lucky Brand customers. Guests enjoyed 25 percent off their purchases for the evening, refreshments and Lucky's signature rock 'n' roll music. A portion of the proceeds from this event went to the Craniofacial and Cleft Program within the Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at our hospital.  We are grateful to Lucky Kid and the Lucky Brand Foundation for their efforts to bring smiles to children born with cleft lips and palates.

What’s next? Lucky Brand associates are getting ready for their next holiday party for our patients this December!
