Our hospital partners with patients and families to ensure that their experiences and feedback shape hospital policy and processes. We understand that the family is the constant in a child’s life, and that excellent care supports the entire family.

Parents of patients are invited to participate in the hospital's Family Advisory Council which meets monthly to:
- Give input about the our service delivery
- Provide feedback about policies and procedures
- Assist in planning for new facilities and services
- Participate in the education of health care professionals and hospital personnel
The Family Advisory Council has helped shape hospital policy in the area of patient visitation, medication management and employee/physician education about family-centered care.
Hospital Committees
- Family Centered Care Committee
An interdisciplinary committee of staff members, administrators, and family members work to implement family centered care practices throughout the hospital.
- Patient and Family Education Committee
This committee incorporates interdisciplinary staff members and family members of our patients who review all materials about medical care and conditions before they are provided to families to ensure that theya re understandable and sensitive to the cultural diversity represented in our patient population.
