Home to an international staff of more than 100 scientists and physicians and 230 laboratory studies, clinical trials, and community-based research and health services, the Institute has drawn tremendous talent from all over the world.

Researchers hold faculty appointments at USC, belong to multi-disciplinary groups, hold positions in departments in the hospital, and work to create a world in which all children are healthy.

They ask basic questions about human biology, find new ways to see inside the body, explore unsolved mysteries, develop promising drug treatments, and test preventative strategies — scientific inquiries that benefit both children and adults.
