Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program Description
The Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program is a freestanding, ACGME accredited Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship Program, and is designed to provide experience in all aspects of pediatric anesthesiology as well as opportunities for clinical and basic research related to the field. Candidates selected to the Fellowship program have ample opportunity to assume responsibilities for patient care, teaching and research. Patient care duties include perioperative evaluation and administration of anesthesia under attending staff supervision for all types of pediatric surgical cases. The Anesthesiology Fellowship program provides outstanding clinical experience in all of the surgical specialties, including all pediatric organ transplantation. Opportunities to participate in the administration of anesthesia outside of the operating room for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as functioning as a consultant for the hospital’s Comfort and Pain Management Program are integral parts of the Fellowship training.
