We celebrated National Nurse Week in May 2010 with our 9th Annual Nurse Essay & Visual Art Contest.

This Year's Theme

"What about the nursing profession makes me passionate?"

Hospital nurses responded by submitting scores of essays. Each was read by a committee of hospital executives. Those judged to be among the top submissions were read by a panel of leaders in the nursing profession.

Nurses who submitted essays were hosted at special ceremonies held during National Nurse Week. All submitted essays were published in a commemorative book. Winners were awarded cash prizes:

Essay Winner - 1st Place = $1,000
Essay Winner - 2nd Place = $400
Essay Winner - 3rd Place = $200
Visual Art Winner = $400
