The John Stauffer Charitable Trust's Generosity

The John Stauffer Charitable Trust was established in 1974 and gave its first gift to Children Hospital Los Angeles in 1976.

Stauffer Trustee H. Jess Senecal believes the partnership has endured because both institutions share a commitment to excellence.

To date, the John Stauffer Charitable Trust’s grants to the hospital have totaled $6.4 million, including $3 million for the John Stauffer Conference Room in the Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion, and $3 million for the John Stauffer Lobby, which serves as the grand entrance to the Marion and John E. Anderson Building and Burtie Green Bettingen Surgery Center.

Our Gratitude

We are grateful to the John Stauffer Charitable Trust and its Trustees H. Jess Senecal, Esq., John F. Bradley, Esq., and Michael R. Whalen, Esq., for helping us continue to treat the most critically ill and injured children in Southern California, the West and beyond.

Mr. Whalen has brought extraordinary vision and leadership to the mission of Children's Hospital Los Angeles as a member of the Board of Trustees since 1998.
