Panda Restaurant Group Demonstrates their Generosity and Commitment to Helping Children

Rosemead-based Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., the parent company of Panda Express, recently donated $100,000 to the hospital.  Peggy Cherng, president and CEO of Panda Restaurant Group and a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees, is working with her husband, Andrew, company founder and chairman, to raise awareness of the hospital within the Asian business community through its Panda Cares program.

Support for A New Interfaith Meditation Room & Chapel

Delta AirElite, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, and Brenda and Eric Seuthe recently made a $50,000 gift to help fund a new interfaith meditation room/chapel at the hospital.

Many families of all cultural and religious traditions frequent the existing interfaith chapel to find space for reflection, meditation or prayer.

But with only 54 square feet of space, there is little space for improvements.

As the entire hospital campus undergoes changes with the completion of the Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion, the interfaith mediation room/chapel will find a new, improved and expanded home.

The generous gift from Delta AirElite and Brenda and Eric Seuthe jumpstarted the planning process of creating a sacred place of calm and comfort for the hospital’s diverse population by initiating a committee of interdisciplinary team members and interfaith representatives under the leadership of the hospital’s Spiritual Care Team.

"Children's Hospital Los Angeles is one of the finest pediatric research and teaching hospitals in the world," says Alan Wilson, co-chair of the Campaign’s Corporate Committee. "We expect that corporations will be excited to partner with Children's Hospital and strengthen its efforts to help children."
