Please ask extended family and friends to use you as their resource for information on your child's condition. Parents' Visiting RightsAs the parent (or legal guardian) of a patient, you and your child have a right to designate visitors of your choosing, whether or not the visitor is related by blood or marriage, or to indicate you no longer want a person to visit, as stated in the hospital visitation policy, available at your request. All visitors enjoy full and equal visitation rights consistent with the preferences of you and your child. You will be informed in a language you can understand if visitation or communication is being restricted for health or safety reasons.
