The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children's Hospital Los Angeles provides a single resource for comprehensive and integrated medical, psychological and related services that address the special needs of today's young people.

Intervention Model

Our expert, interdisciplinary staff  focus on both treatment and prevention using a model of positive youth development to reach out to and engage teens with an entire system of care.

Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine Honored by Equality California

Two Children's Hospital Los Angeles physicians in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and a project manager were honored Aug. 18 by Equality California at the Beverly Hilton.

Marvin Belzer, MD and Johanna Olson, MD, along with a third honoree Miguel Martinez, MSW, MPH, direct the hospital’s newly named Center for TransYouth Health and Gender Studies, a two-decade old program that provides services for gender non-confirming, transgender-identified youth and their families.
