Nurse Practitioner

My nursing career began 20 + years ago as a Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) staff nurse on a surgical unit. After I received my nurse practitioner degree in 2011 from Azusa Pacific University, I worked in a pediatric orthopedic practice, specifically in orthopedic trauma. Then I transitioned to my current position at CHLA as their trauma nurse practitioner in 2015.

I am an active member in several pediatric trauma professional organization, such as Society of Trauma Nurses (STN). I am currently serving as the Clinical Director at Large. I am also an active member at the Pediatric Trauma Society (PTS). I am a lead for the Pelvic HUB Guidelines Committee. I have presented at national conferences and have publications in pediatric trauma. I participate in various advanced practice hospital committees at CHLA.

My passion for teaching lead me to join Azusa Pacific University and UCLA School of Nursing in their APRN program. I support academia by coordinating trauma education for the nursing staff, precept nurse practitioner students and mentor new advanced practice providers.
